Pura Batukaru is one of the most important and popular temple. This temple is one of the nine directional temples on the island, called KHAHYANGAN JAGAT, which protects the island and it’s inhabitants from evil spirits. And this temple exactly right on the slopes of the mount Batukaru, in the western area of the island of Bali Indonesia.

Batukaru temple is located in Wongaya Gede village, Tabanan regency.Located of this temple apprximately 42 km from Denpasar the capital city of Bali. And it’s take about 90-120 minutesto drive there throug the traffic to the North from Ngurah Rai Denpasar Airport. And beside this temple there is some nice object like Jatiluwih rice terrace,Hot spring and some other temple too.

The best time to visit this temple is during the temple’s biannual “PIODALAN” temple anniversaries,which consides each Thursday one day after Galungan ceremony in Bali. One of the most special days of the year is the day of pilgrimage. On this day,thousands of people Hindu religion,come to this temple for pray and then climb to the peak of Batukaru Mountain, because at the top also have one of temple called “PURA PUCAK KEDATON”. And for tourist we can visit this temple any days open at 08.00-18.00 dayly.
